Portrait Photography 1: Natural Light

Thursday June 7th 5:00pm-8:00pm

Interested in learning the basics of Portrait Photography?

Come join me as I delve into the fundamentals of creating beautiful portraits. In this course we will cover:

- Natural light

- Use of reflectors and defusers

- Composition

- Tips on how to make your background less distracting

- Focal Length and how it affects your portrait

- Tricks to help your client relax ... And much more

This is a hands on class and as such we will be using each other as models to practice. Don't worry, we will have fun, joke around, and by the end of this workshop you will have the foundation to be creating beautiful portraits anywhere.

Understanding Exposure: Level 1

Do you love taking pictures but find that they just aren't coming out like you remember the scene looking?

Want to get more creative and learn how to get out of "Auto Mode"? Come join us for Understanding Exposure.

In this class we will be learning how to take creative control over your images and how to create more compelling and engaging compositions.

With the use of different shutter speeds and apertures we will learn how to create a picture that tells a more exciting story.

Lets stop letting the computer take the picture it thinks you want and start letting you create the beautiful images that you are envisioning.

Night and Long Exposure Photography

Interested in learning how to shoot the night sky, stars, and how to do fun long exposure tricks with water and light?

Come join us for this 3.5 hour outing to one of my favorite photography locations.

In this class we will learn how to do long exposure photography to enhance the mood of your pictures. We will shoot into the evening playing with shooting starscapes, light painting, and other fun effects of long exposure photography.

This class is for photographers who have at least a moderate knowledge of how their camera works and being able to change settings. A tripod is highly recommended ( I have extras if needed)


Intro to Outdoor Photography

Saturday June 23rd 8:00am- 12:00pm

Do you love taking photos of people, nature or outdoor scenes but find that they just aren't coming out like you remember it looking? Want to learn how to create more compelling and engaging pictures?

Join us for Understanding Exposure : Level 2.

In this 4 hour hands on class you will learn how to take control of your camera settings, get out of Auto Mode, how to tell a story with your photo using shutter speed and aperture, and learn how to create more dramatic compositions.

We will have a great time getting hands on with how to take control of our camera and pictures and overcome whatever obstacles stand in the way of getting "The Shot".

1 on 1 Classes (available upon request)

Lets customize your learning session. Wth a 1 on 1 class we can focus on whatever aspect of your photography you want to improve in whatever location you choose.

- $50 - 1 Hr Session.

- $30 for each additional hour (in the same session)

- Lightroom Editing Started Package - $350

    10 hours

     - Hands on in your home on your computer

     - includes editing on my photos for specific editing techniques and using your photos

     - learn how to Import, organize, sort, edit, use detail tools, export, and find your photos
