  • Gocha. This Mangrove Hawk (aka Common Hawk) grabs a quick crab snack from the beach of Corcovado National Park
  • Hungry Capuchins.
  • The Fer De lance is the most deadly sname in Costa Rica

  • Lazy Capuchin
  • Scarlet Macaws in flight. Scarlet Macaws mate for life and are very social birds. They can be heard calling to each other well before they are seen. They are seen flying in pairs most of the time, sometimes a trio. Fittingly I would describe the call they make to sound like an old married couple arguing.
  • Red Eyed Tree Frog. I was happy to get this picture with only a headlamp to light the frog in the dark.

  • Jess shows scale for the immense roots of the Butress Tree
  • I especially liked this painting. An interesting picture filled with colores and textures.
  • Wall paintings like this dancer can be found along the streets on many buildings in San Jose

  • The beautiful artwork of a traditional Costa Rican wheel cart
  • Osa Paradise
  • Thorny tree branch. In Costa Rica always look 3 times before putting your hand on something. Once for bugs, once for thorns, and once to make sure its not a snake.
