Here is the other shot that I liked from the sunrise shoot at Brant Rock the other morning. A 20 second exposure to mist the water a little bit and give the picture a mystical feel. I really enjoy the contrast of the soft water against the hard texture of the rocks to the right. Good golden light as the sun just broke over the horizon in the east with a nice set of clouds rolling in from the north to keep the sky from being boring.
Took this series for a weekly photo competition I joined. This weeks theme was Black and White Seascapes.
Waited out a pretty intense lightning storm passing over Rexham Beach. Was hoping to get some lightning shots over the water but no luck today.
I got inspired after seeing some long exposure night shots and decided go over the lumber and mulch yard across the street. I thought this one came out kind of neat. The mulch heats up all day in the sun and when the temps drop at night it steams. The mulch pile is being lighted by the street lights about 200 feet away. I was happy to be able to get some stars in there even though there was so much light pollution.
